Last evening I put fencing around the peach trees. And I sprayed some sort of deer and rabbit stuff…for keeping them away. It smelled like bloody cat vomit.
Peach tree fencing.
The “last” peach, hidden amongst the leaves. It’s about the size of a walnut.
It’s never ending. Even with a tiny porch you can do amazing things. We have a big yard so it’s daunting because the time and expense to do it right is beyond my means. I sort of long for the days when we had a smaller yard or even a porch.
In my experience, either a big fence or a big dog seems to be the only deterrent for Mama and Bambi to stop munching on the vegetation. Good Luck with that solitary peach that’s going to taste so gooood!
something ate two pepper plants…I think it’s a rabbit. Not to mention the strawberry plants the rabbits ate. Truthfully, I wish we lived in an area where I could hunt, I think I’d be willing to harvest protein as well as veggies.
Every time I see these kind of posts from you I want to do something with my porch!

I could see that. And the expense part is why I haven’t start yet. For the record, it looks to me that you are doing it pretty right. 🙂
